I first found Shady Oak in the fall of 2006 when my youngest son, Elijah, began Pre-K. By the next fall, I had joyfully joined the Shady Oak staff.

Over the last 14 years I have taught as an Teacher’s Assistant and Lead Teacher in preschool and in Kindergarten. After spending the last several years with Acorns, I am so excited to be making the shift this year to the Kindergarten classroom!

I married my high school sweetheart over 30 years ago, and we have 5 amazing children (my 2 youngest went to Shady Oak!) and 4 wonderful grandchildren (two of whom attend Shady Oak!) I enjoy spending time at the beach with my family, kayaking and hosting craft nights.
