At what age do you begin accepting children?

1

We begin accepting children who are 3 years old by Sept. 1 and who are completely potty trained.

Do you accept immunization exemptions?

2

Yes. We accept immunization exemptions and require a notarized Immunization Affidavit to be on file for any child whose parents are waiving immunizations. Affidavits can be downloaded from the Texas Health and Human Services website here.

Do you intend to offer grades beyond 2nd grade in the future?

3

At our center, we are dedicated to providing exceptional Early Childhood education for children ages 3 to 8. This age range reflects our commitment to nurturing young learners during their most formative years, as defined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). By focusing on children within this age group, we ensure that our programs are developmentally appropriate, engaging, and tailored to meet the unique needs of every child. For these reasons, we do not currently have plans to expand our program beyond 2nd grade.

What are your classroom ratios?

4

At our center, we believe that every child deserves individual attention and meaningful connections with their teachers. Our classroom ratios are typically around 7 children to 1 teacher. By keeping our groups small, we ensure that teachers can engage with each child personally, fostering strong relationships and supporting social-emotional development.

Our program is designed to help children grow not only academically, but also emotionally and socially. Small group settings allow teachers to interact with children one-on-one and in small groups, creating a nurturing environment where every child feels seen, heard, and valued.

At our school, we weave the universal principles of Christianity—empathy, love, and kindness—into every interaction. Our dedicated staff not only model these values but also guide children in practical, real-world ways to live as Jesus did. Through weekly chapel sessions held outdoors amidst the beauty of nature, children experience biblical teachings in a setting that inspires wonder and reflection. These age-appropriate lessons foster spiritual growth and encourage children to embody Christian values in their daily lives.

The first step in our enrollment process is to contact our office and set up a tour of the school. Tours begin in January, giving you the opportunity to explore our classrooms, meet our teachers, and learn more about our programs.

Our enrollment period opens to the public in February. If your family intends to enroll, you will complete an Intent to Enroll form, which initiates our electronic enrollment process through our app. This process includes submitting registration documents and payment of registration fees.

Once your documents and payment are received and approved, your child will be officially enrolled in our program. We look forward to supporting your child’s growth and learning!

Our school year always begins the day after Labor Day and goes through the end of May. We do offer Summer Camp during the months of June, July, and August. This camp requires separate registration than school year registration and is open to the public.

No. Parents send a morning snack and lunch with children each day. We do proivde an afternoon snack to our children enrolled in Late Stay.

In additon to a morning snack and lunch, parents should pack a filled water bottle, a change of clothes, and a blanket or sheet for rest. Children are allowed to pack stuffies or lovey’s in their backpack for rest time only.

Our standard school day dropoff is between 8 and 8:30am. We offer Early Care with dropoff between 7:30 and 8am for an additional charge.

We loosely follow Lamar Consolidated School District’s calendar. However, there may be some differences to holiday closures and early releases based on the needs of our school and staff. We do follow LCISD for inclement weather closures.

We do not. Our school offers a loyalty discount to families whose children attended the previous school year and are returning. We also offer a sibling discount to families who are enrolling more than one child.

We do not participate in NCI or the Texas Rising Star Program at this time.

After careful consideration, we have decided not to participate in the program, as doing so would require us to comply with additional regulatory standards. As a result, we are unable to accept payment through school vouchers at this time.
