My Shady Oak journey began as a mom when my oldest son was three years old. At the time I had been a public librarian for 16 years, and although I loved my work, I was looking for a way to spend more time with my family. Synchronistically, at the time Shady Oak was looking for an Assistant Director and the rest is history!

What I love most about Shady Oak is how children are honored for their uniqueness and allowed to play, explore, and be curious.

I have been married to my husband, Casey, for 20 years. I am a homeschool mom to Silas (12), and my youngest son, Collier (6) is a Grub at Shady Oak! I love traveling, learning, reading, writing in my journal, being at the beach and spending time with my family.
