My Shady Oak journey began as a mom when my oldest son was three years old. At the time I had been a public librarian for 16 years, and although I loved my work, I was looking for a way to spend more time with my family. Synchronistically, at the time Shady Oak was looking for an Assistant Director and the rest is history!

What I love most about Shady Oak is how children are honored for their uniqueness and allowed to play, explore, and be curious.

I have a husband, Casey, and two sons: Collier (5) and Silas (11). We have three chickens: JJ, Raven, and Goldie and a dog, Honey. I enjoy traveling, camping, reading, doing yoga, going on long walks, tending to my plants in my wonderful sunroom, writing stories and drinking coffee early in the morning.
