Elena Boskey, After School Teacher

I attended Shady Oak as a student from 2001 to 2003. When I graduated from Kindergarten, each child received a pecan tree sprout in a paper cup. My family planted it at the time, and now that pecan tree is 20ft tall in the middle of my parents backyard.

After teaching in large public school districts for the last five years, I felt the calling back to the nurturing and authentic environment of Shady Oak. It’s been a huge blessing to return back to my ‘roots’.

I am married to my better half, Wesley, and we have two exuberant dogs, Dax and Gemma. As a family, we love to camp at our favorite spot as often as we can. My hobbies include scrapbooking, water color painting, reading, and finding records at consignment stores.
